Executive Assistant to the Founder
Urban Youth Impact is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide high‑level administrative support directly to the Founder and the Development Department.
Key Goals- Provide high-level administrative support to the Founder and Development Department.
- Assist with schedule management, communications, event planning, and other complex tasks.
- Support fundraising efforts and ensure the Founder’s schedule is current and prioritized.
- Communicate the Founder’s vision through emails, letters, and phone calls.
- Ensure the Development Team meets financial and deadline‑oriented goals.
- Manage the Founder’s calendar and prioritize emails.
- Maintain confidential physical and electronic files and records.
- Attend Development Department meetings.
- Assist the Development Department with mailing appeal letters, packages, and event planning.
- Coordinate communications, meeting notes, filing annual reports, and scheduling board meetings for The Legacy Foundation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented with strong grammar and editing abilities.
- Adaptable and able to re‑prioritize as needed.
- Flexible and able to handle interruptions and multitask.
- Self‑motivated with minimal oversight.
- Handles confidential matters with care.
- Follows through and completes tasks on time.
- Delegates effectively and follows up on delegated tasks.
- Confidently represents the Founder in his absence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Mail, Calendar, Docs, etc.).
- Familiar with Raiser's Edge after training.
- Preferred: nonprofit and development experience.
- 2‑year degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in an executive or administrative assistant role.
- Reports primarily to the Founder.
- Understanding that Urban Youth Impact is a faith‑based organization.
- Part‑time: 24+ hours per week.
- Required hours:
Mon, Tue, Thu 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. - FLSA: non‑exempt.
All applicants will be required to complete a Level‑2 background check.
Salary$20.00 – $20.00 per hour.
