Location:

• School District of Palm Beach County campuses
• West Palm Beach, FL 33406

Schedule:

• In-person position during the school day

Hours:

• Part-time
• Minimum Weekly Commitment: The schedule requires a minimum of 1 hour per day weekly to start. In addition there will be two additional 5-hour days added on (totaling 11+ hours weekly).
• Primary Shift: 10 hours per week, consisting of two days (Tues/Thurs or Tues/Fri) for 5 hours each. (Shift days based on tutor's availability and preference.)
• Flexibility: Ability to work 5+ additional hours per week when combined with virtual opportunities as needs arise.

Pay:

• $30 per hour, based on experience and other factors

• Work as a Tutor, supporting Kindergarten-5th grade students in ELA and Math.
• Support students in Special Education with IEP's.
• Provide small group tutoring sessions to students using the provided curriculum and learning technology.
• Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

• A teaching credential issued by the state of Florida or a bachelor's degree accompanied by a Statement of Eligibility issued by the Florida Department of Education (ESE Certificate)
• Have classroom experience teaching or supporting reading instruction
• Have experience with Special Education students
• Have experience using the Science of Reading or willingness to be trained in this
• Can complete the fingerprinting process within 48 hours of an offer
• You will pass FBI/DOJ background check
• You can provide 3 professional references
• You are detail-oriented and highly dependable
• You are an effective communicator
• You have reliable transportation
• You can provide a negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of being hired
• You love learning, teaching, and empowering others to soar
