Job Overview

We are searching for highly motivated, technically competent, and mechanically inclined individuals to join our Field Service Team. In this position, you will play a key role in maintaining system uptime, availability, and performance for deployed units on customer sites in a specific region. You will train at our Headquarters in Menlo Park, CA and be assigned a particular service region, which will require travel.

• Mechanically repair and/or perform maintenance on components and assemblies that make up our generators in accordance with procedures and build checklists in order to meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers to fix, repair, and redesign components and assemblies.
• Conduct mechanical inspections of deployed units, documenting condition information for use by our team for debugging or troubleshooting.
• Be “on-call” for unit service based upon written schedule:
  Units run 24/7 and Mainspring is responsible, with the Technician, for maximum availability and uptime.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with mechanical assembly and/or repair. Experience with automotive, aviation, and/or heavy equipment (i.e. HVAC, elevators/lifts, or industrial equipment) assembly a plus.
• Experience with precision measuring, down to .001”, using micrometers, bore gauges, gauge blocks, etc. Also, familiarity with torque wrenches and documentation of repairs performed.
• Candidates must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift to 50 lbs., and wear required PPE.
