Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Project Survey Manager to join its collaborative team in West Palm Beach, Florida
. This individual will serve a key role in managing and leading all aspects of a localized survey department, applying extensive knowledge of surveying principles and practices across broad assignment areas. You will have the opportunity to manage staff, develop new clients, and explore business opportunities in a technologically progressive environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of strategies and approaches for meeting client objectives, planning, implementation, data reduction, and successful project completion;
  • Prepare project data for field work, schedule field crews, review and process field data, perform adjustments and QA/QC of raw field data;
  • Lead the preparation and modification of written descriptions, survey plans, reports, and CAD deliverables;
  • Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader surveying projects;
  • Interpret findings and ensure data collection and reduction are completed accurately, timely, and within budget;
  • Provide staff training and oversee the implementation of new office and field software and technologies;
  • Plan, schedule, and develop budgets; prepare progress reports and billings;
  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate staff;
  • Maintain existing client relationships and participate in business development activities;
  • Write proposals, define project scopes, and prepare estimates, budgets, and reports;
  • Manage multiple projects with varying deadlines and budgets;
  • Participate in client and regulatory meetings; and
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Qualifications
  • 8+ years of surveying experience in field and office environments;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson software, with strong computer skills;
  • State Survey license or ability to obtain one;
  • Experience with proposal preparation and estimating;
  • Ability to perform complex boundary analysis and ensure quality control of survey deliverables;
  • Strong project management skills, including staff management, quality control, and client interaction;
  • Experience in proposal writing, contract negotiations, and budget management;
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various management levels and with clients;
  • Operational knowledge of field equipment such as Total Stations, Data Collectors, Laser Scanners, and GPS;
  • Attention to detail, analytical skills, and sound judgment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Willingness to travel to field sites as needed;
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
