The Project Engineer will work independently under the direct supervision of the Engineer of Record to aid the overall structural project design team in coordinating and designing various structural building projects during both design and construction phases. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.

• Participate in coordination meetings with other disciplines and design review meetings for supervisors, clients, and owners; attend work sessions with owner‑client agencies to address additional scope items.
• Coordinate the design and documentation required to complete construction documents on schedule and within budget.
• Author and maintain structural specifications, select construction procedures, determine materials and member sizes, and complete all necessary calculations for proper design.
• Assist with shop drawing reviews, RFIs, change proposal requests, and change orders, incorporating changes into project documents.
• Utilize written and verbal communication skills to translate design and coordination items to project team members; author defensible engineering reports, memos, and email correspondence.
• Provide site observations and construction administration reports during the construction phase.

• Minimum 4 years of progressive structural engineering experience in building design with steel, concrete, and/or masonry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis (Master’s optional) or Bachelor’s in Architectural Engineering with optional Master’s.
• Professional Engineering license (P.E.) or Structural Engineering license.
• Extensive foundation design experience (shallow and deep) using various building materials.
• Proficiency with Revit Structure 2019 and newer; strong drafting skills.
• Advanced vertical and lateral analysis skills in RISA‑Floor, RISA‑3D, ETABS, etc.
• Ability to perform hand calculations and verify CAD designs.
• Expertise in steel design (diaphragms, collectors, drag struts, braces, moments, frames).
• Expertise in concrete design (member sizing, rebar/bend scheduling, connections).
• Experience in masonry design and connections to steel and concrete frames.
• Strong understanding of IBC and codes such as ASCE, AISC, ACI, MSJC, NDS, PTI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Bluebeam Studio Sessions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
