Position Summary

Performs routine technical and clerical functions including venipuncture, specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens, specimen registration and billing. Will perform CLIA waived laboratory tests, assist in microbiology processing and plating specimens, and perform phlebotomy duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required);
    Completion of a phlebotomy program (preferred)
  • Experience: 1 year of laboratory experience and/or completion of a formal phlebotomy training program (required);
    Basic laboratory computer/lab information system experience (preferred)
  • Certification: Phlebotomy certification where State law requires (required);
    Completion of formal phlebotomy training program and/or national phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ANP, ASPT or similar (preferred)
