The Junior Azure Data Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure-based database solutions, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in data, with a strong interest in building data pipelines, working with SQL and Python, and supporting data analysis initiatives. The candidate should be enthusiastic about learning Azure data services and developing their technical skills.

Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, and holding the Microsoft DP‑700 certification is a strong plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience working with Azure data services (e.g., Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory).
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Fabric and its role in modern data architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and ETL processes.
• Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Relevant certifications in Azure are a plus. Microsoft DP‑700 is a strong plus.
• Strong customer focus.
• Flexible schedule to collaborate with the global team and stakeholders.

• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Azure SQL Databases, Synapse Analytics, and other Azure data services.
• Support data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
• Develop scripts and automation tools using Python to streamline data operations.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance and data pipeline issues.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across the team; stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Azure Synapse.
• Collaborate with the Data Analytics, Governance, and Automation teams to support all data and reporting related efforts.
• Work closely with lines of business (LOB) and functional groups (FG) to gather requirements and provide robust, scalable, and reliable solutions.
• Provide application and system support; evaluate and resolve database contention and performance issues.
• Participate and support database activities that encompass designing, sourcing, and overseeing development projects.
• Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the broader network.
• Have at least 1 year of cloud enterprise experience.

• Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
• Certification in Azure Data Engineer Associate DP‑203 or DP‑700 is a strong plus.
• Basic understanding of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
