- Support and troubleshoot workloads in AWS, including EC2, ECS, EKS, SSM, RDS, VPC, Lambda, ALB/NLB, ACM, IAM, and S3
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot containerized applications using ECS (Fargate) and assist with EKS‑based vendor workloads
- Maintain container lifecycle processes, including image validation, registry usage, and vulnerability/SBOM scanning
- Support multi‑account AWS environments in both commercial and regulated enclaves
- Maintain and troubleshoot Linux (preferred) and Windows Server workloads, including IIS, Active Directory‑integrated systems, and cloud‑connected services
- Support backups, snapshots, replication jobs, and DR readiness procedures
- Configure and deploy systems using automation‑first principles (Ansible, AWX, IaC, scripting)
- Implement and support monitoring using Datadog, Cloud Watch, Splunk, Azure Sentinel and Pager Duty
- Create and maintain dashboards, alerts, and SLO/SLI‑aligned monitoring
- Participate in incident response and produce actionable post‑mortems
- Identify failure patterns and drive operational improvements through automation
- Operate patching workflows across Linux, Windows, and third‑party applications using enterprise and cloud patch management solutions
- Analyze vulnerability findings, coordinate remediation, and provide audit‑ready reporting
- Maintain compliance with required patching windows, cadences, and regulated SLAs
- Use Service Now for Incident, Change, Problem, and Request Management in accordance with ITIL best practices
- Support audit activities for FedRAMP, SOC 2, and HIPAA by providing logs, evidence, screenshots, and process documentation
- Follow least‑privilege, MFA, and approved access control procedures
- Participate in a structured on‑call rotation and respond to escalated alerts from monitoring platforms
- Work closely with Engineering, Security, Dev Ops, and NOC personnel to support high‑availability operations
- Develop and maintain technical runbooks, SOPs, and system documentation
- Work with other department teams to recommend appropriate hardware and software topology for deployment architecture
- Contribute to development and completion of technical RFPs
- Perform project management functions, including managing new system installations and special projects
All employees must meet HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800‑53 security and privacy requirements and complete required FedRAMP training. Employees in high‑risk categories or with access to modify data and configuration baselines receive additional training.
Qualifications Required Skills- 3–5+ years of experience supporting cloud or enterprise systems
- General Windows Server and IIS experience
- Hands‑on AWS experience (EC2, SSM, VPC, IAM, RDS, ALB/NLB, Cloud Watch, S3, ACM)
- Experience with patching/vulnerability tools (Patch Manager Plus, AWS Patch Manager, Tenable, Invicti)
- Familiarity with Service Now or similar ITSM platforms
- Strong troubleshooting skills across network, application, OS, and cloud layers
- Scripting experience with Bash and/or Power Shell (Python preferred)
- Experience in regulated environments (FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA)
- Automation experience using Ansible, Cloud Formation, Terraform, or AWX
- Knowledge of CI/CD workflows
- Familiarity with SRE concepts (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident reviews)
- Experience with container security scanning (Snyk, Grype, Anchore)
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience - Years of experience in a similar role: 3–5 + years
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must pass a federal background check
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment
