A well-established and busy law firm in Palm Beach County that practices Plaintiff Litigation is seeking a 2-3 yr or more Mass Tort Associate Attorney to join its team.
The firm represents plaintiffs in high-profile mass tort and multi-district litigation matters and offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment with significant opportunity for professional growth.
Position SummaryThe Mass Tort Attorney will handle all aspects of mass tort litigation, from case intake and discovery through motion practice and trial preparation. This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in complex, document-heavy litigation and enjoys working on large-scale cases involving pharmaceutical, medical device, or other product liability claims.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of mass tort matters
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and briefs
- Take and defend depositions (fact and expert, as applicable)
- Communicate with clients regarding case status and strategy
- Coordinate with co-counsel, experts, and litigation support teams
- Assist with trial preparation and settlement negotiations
- Ensure compliance with court deadlines
- Active Florida Bar Member and in good standing is a MUST!
- 2-4+ years of experience in mass tort, complex litigation, or product liability
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume caseloads
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency with litigation technology and e-discovery platforms
- Trial or arbitration experience
- Experience working in busy plaintiff-side mass tort firms
- Familiarity with case management software (e.g., Needles, Litify, Clio)
- Work on nationally recognized, high-impact cases
