Experienced Family Law/Estate Planning Paralegal (Full-Time In-Office Position)
Compensation: Competitive pay rate + performance bonuses available
About UsSeeking a full-time experienced Family Law/Estate Planning Paralegal to join a small boutique one-attorney Family law firm. The firm is dedicated to guiding clients through some of life’s most challenging legal matters with compassion, integrity, and professionalism. The firm is beginning to handle Estate Planning and will be incorporating that into the services currently offered; however, at the current time, we only do Family law cases.

- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, financial affidavits, and parenting plans.
- Ensure compliance with the Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure and mandatory disclosure requirements.
- Coordinate and organize discovery materials and client financial documentation.
- Manage attorney's calendar, schedule hearings, depositions, client meetings, calendar trial deadlines, and assist attorney with trial preparation, including exhibits and witness lists. You can also attend trials with the attorney to assist in presentation of the case.
- File documents through the Florida e-Filing Portal.
- Maintain accurate client files and billing entries in MyCase case management software.
- Track and record time daily to meet the firm’s minimum billable requirement of 1,400–1,600 hours annually (varies based on pay and experience).
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Be a courteous and empathetic contact for the firm's clients.
Minimum 4–5 years of experience as a family law paralegal in Florida.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Estate Planning paralegal in Florida.
Strong working knowledge of the Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure and discovery processes.
Experience handling mandatory disclosure and financial documentation.
Proficient with Mac computers and comfortable working in a paperless environment.
Proficient in MyCase or similar legal case management and billing software.
Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
Paralegal certification or equivalent legal experience required.
Preferred Skills- Experience assisting with mediations, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Strong client service and communication skills.
- Ability to think and analyze cases without being spoon-fed work from the attorney.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy.
