Summary of PositionThe Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of manufacturing, production, and distribution activities while serving as a key right-hand partner to the Operations Manager. This role supports production scheduling and planning, coordinates the implementation of new operational processes, drives cost‑saving and continuous improvement initiatives, and supports EHS compliance efforts to ensure safe and efficient working conditions. In addition, the Operations Coordinator will play a key role in the rollout and adoption of the company’s ERP system by supporting implementation activities, process documentation, and end‑user training.
This position works closely with the Operations Manager, production teams, distribution teams, and EHS to ensure efficient workflow, consistent execution, and alignment with organizational goals, including oversight of weekend operations.
This position maintains a Tuesday–Saturday workweek.
Responsibilities- Coordinate the implementation of new manufacturing processes, ensuring clear communication, documentation, and successful integration into production workflows.
- Coordinate and support the rollout of new distribution processes to improve fulfillment efficiency and product movement.
- Support ERP implementation and adoption initiatives, including process mapping, documentation updates, end‑user training coordination, job aid creation, and first‑line support for operational users during go‑live and stabilization.
- Develop and maintain standard work, SOPs, and training materials related to manufacturing, distribution, and ERP process changes to ensure consistent execution and long‑term sustainability.
- Maintain and drive accountability for operational action‑item tracking, supporting project timelines, follow‑ups, and reporting to ensure priorities and initiatives stay on schedule.
- Assist with production planning and scheduling to meet operational targets and ensure optimal use of labor, equipment, and material resources.
- Analyze production and distribution operations to identify cost‑saving and efficiency improvement opportunities; support development and execution of improvement initiatives.
- Partner with the EHS team to support the implementation, communication, and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Supervise production team members during Saturday operations, providing direction, support, and problem resolution as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to assist with daily operational tasks, reporting, process tracking, and cross‑department coordination.
- Maintain strong communication among departments including Production, Warehouse/Distribution, EHS, and Quality to ensure aligned priorities and consistent workflow.
- Support data collection, record‑keeping, and reporting related to production performance, labor utilization, and process changes.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment directed by the Company at all times.
- Demonstrate complete working knowledge of firearms safety.
- Maintain and keep workstation and department area clean.
- Immediately report any maintenance and/or safety issues to Management.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude toward co‑workers, other departments and the Company.
- Maintain respect, courtesy and professionalism toward all co‑workers and the Company.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with co‑workers and management.
- Actively participate and support the 5S process within the work area on a daily basis.
