The Clinical Nurse Coordinator ensures high‑quality, patient‑centered care and oversees all functions in the unit during the designated shift.

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and quality care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care quality.
• Collaborate with team leaders to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Support patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Implement nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds.
• Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, including conflict resolution and performance evaluation.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in line with patient needs.
• Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• Fingerprinting required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate degree in nursing.

HCA Florida JFK North Hospital is a 280‑bed acute care facility offering a 24‑hour Emergency Department, Advanced Primary Certified Stroke Center, Orthopedic Institute, Critical Care Unit, and Interventional Vascular Suite.
