RN (Registered Nurse) STEPDOWN FLOAT - SEASONAL/TEMP NIGHT SHIFT
Wellington Regional Medical Center is a 235‑bed acute care hospital located in Wellington, Florida. The hospital is owned by Universal Health Services, Inc. Wellington Regional has been providing high‑quality health‑care services to the residents of Palm Beach County since 1986 and is accredited by The Joint Commission. The RN will provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards and philosophy. The RN will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The RN will recognize the signs and symptoms of stroke and call a stroke alert overhead, verbalize the stroke alert process, assist the ICU nurse with telemedicine consult and physician examination/evaluation, assist with transport of inpatient stroke alert to and from CT scan, perform and document the NIHSS and bedside swallow, assist with preparation of patient for endovascular treatment as indicated, and maintain currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 8‑hour online training.
As a float pool RN, the RN will float to any unit within competency based on the need.
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program.
- Prefer one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute care setting.
- BLS (current upon hire).
- ACLS and/or required specialty training or course completion (or obtained within three months of employment) in required specialty.
- Current Florida nursing license.
- Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
