Overview
Barback / Busser (F/T Omakase Restaurant) at Hilton West Palm Beach. This role supports dining service by setting and clearing tables, stocking service stations, and assisting food servers to deliver outstanding guest service and contribute to hotel profitability.

What will I be doing?- Set and prepare tables for dining, including folding napkins, placing tableware, and serving water.
- Ensure tableware is in good working condition and report any defects for repair.
- Stock, maintain, and clean designated food station(s).
- Assist food servers with table service (e.g., serving beverages, breads).
- Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to the dishwashing area.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests, resolving issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
Retrieves orders from storeroom and checks stock received against the requisition with storeroom personnel to ensure accuracy. Upon delivery to the bar, re-checks items with the bartender for completeness.
Cuts, slices, and peels perishable garnishes and fruits; mixes and pours juices in sufficient amounts according to projected business. Stores back-up supplies requiring refrigeration in prescribed containers for later use.
Checks and assists the bartender in maintaining adequate supplies (e.g., stir sticks, napkins, matches) for both the immediate bar and extended service area. Transports taps, replaces, and performs routine maintenance on heavy beer kegs.
Maintains cleanliness of the bar area, beer lockers, refrigeration, and storage areas to comply with health code standards.
Scoops ice from ice bins, transports to service areas, and replenishes ice containers for usage.
Boxes and saves empty liquor bottles for returns and requisitions.
