Primary Care Sales Consultant – West Palm Beach, FL PURPOSE

Primary Care Sales Consultant (SC) is accountable for implementing the sales strategies for approved cardiorenal products and for driving launch activities for an anticipated menopause product launch. This role includes driving demand, providing clinical education and sales support by developing, coordinating, and implementing a strategic business plan for Primary Care Physicians, primarily in community settings.

The position reports to the CVR Area General Manager and is an integral part of the Area Customer Squad, collaborating closely with Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services, and other internal partners to drive US pharma outcomes. The coverage area is Port Saint Lucie and West Palm Beach, FL. Travel up to 50% within the territory. The role is residence‑based and the candidate must be domiciled within the territory.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and develop professional relationships with primary care providers and pharmacy staff within assigned customers.
  • Drive appropriate utilization of approved CV and menopause products; collaborate with the Customer Squad to generate pull‑through within local payers and community HCPs.
  • Leverage expertise and knowledge of the diabetes and menopause marketplace, competitors, industry trends, and cross‑functional plans to anticipate and manage business opportunities and challenges.
  • Provide relevant, thoughtful input to other commercial colleagues (e.g., sales leadership, regional account managers) in regard to strategic and tactical planning for territory, area, and region.
  • Develop and implement effective customer‑specific business plans and communicate insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Prioritize time and effort to ensure optimal coverage of appropriate physician specialists based on opportunity and potential.
  • Understand fully the assigned customers’ product and business needs and work to meet those needs while adhering to all Bayer ethics and compliance standards.
  • Anticipate potential barriers to achievement of goals and propose responsible solutions for success.
  • Handle customer objections effectively and exceed customer expectations with the value brought to physicians; occasionally provide training to colleagues.
  • Leverage emerging technologies to enhance performance, continually improving proficiency.
  • Understand and comply with pharmaceutical industry guidelines, regulations, and ethical standards in day‑to‑day work.
WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience in competitive landscapes (or equivalent).
  • Proven track record of consistent high performance in a sales role or other relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in developing long‑standing relationships with customers.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and fostered an environment that promotes ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Ability to comply with any customer credentialing and safety requirements (e.g., up‑to‑date vaccinations, trainings).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • An advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
  • In‑depth knowledge in cardiovascular and/or diabetes and/or menopause disease states.
  • Product launch experience.
  • Strong analytical and computer capabilities.
  • Virtual sales experience.
  • Strong local relationships with HCPs and understanding of local market.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $120960.00 and $. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
