Counter Sales Associate

A construction supply distributor is seeking a customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to assist contractors, builders, and trade professionals. This role combines product recommendations, order processing, and relationship building in a collaborative environment.

Candidates with construction supply or hardware experience are encouraged to apply. Training is available for someone with mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

• Help customers select materials and products appropriate for their projects.
• Prepare pricing, enter orders, and process cash, credit, and customer account transactions accurately.
• Recommend tools, fasteners, sealants, door hardware, and related construction products.
• Develop relationships with returning customers and become familiar with their purchasing needs.
• Answer phone inquiries and follow up on product, pricing, and order questions.
• Pull merchandise and prepare orders for customer pickup.
• Maintain an organized sales counter and assist with stock organization.
• Suggest additional products that support the customer’s project.

• Experience in counter sales, a supply house, hardware distribution, or a lumberyard is strongly preferred.
• Construction, skilled trades, or estimating experience is a plus.
• Comfortable calculating prices, quantities, measurements, and basic unit conversions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are strongly preferred.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively with a team.
• Able to commute reliably to the West Palm Beach
