** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.

+ Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, restricted-access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

+ Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and report access irregularities according to site procedures.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.

+ Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation and promptly communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and designated client representatives.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Possess at least 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, or military experience.

+ Possess an armed guard card or license.

+  
** Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance** .

+ Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.

+ Handcuffing certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
