Armed Court Security Officer

Allied Universal seeks an Armed Security Officer – Court Screener to provide safe, professional access control at a courthouse. In this part-time role, you will operate metal detectors, X-ray equipment, and other screening tools; verify IDs; and enforce security procedures for staff and visitors. You will respond to incidents, write reports, and collaborate with court personnel and law enforcement. Allied Universal offers structured training, firearms qualification, clear procedures, and advancement pathways in security and protective services.

• Operate security screening equipment at court entrances to detect prohibited items
• Verify identification, badges, and credentials for all entrants
• Enforce security procedures and maintain orderly access control
• Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies per protocol
• Conduct bag and personal belonging inspections when required
• Document incidents, write clear reports, and log activities
• Communicate professionally with court staff, visitors, and law enforcement
• Patrol assigned areas and monitor for suspicious behavior
• Follow all firearms safety rules and maintain required qualifications
• Attend required training and comply with Allied Universal and court policies
