Senior Backend Engineer

Built on proprietary conversational AI technology, it functions as a virtual therapist capable of real‑time, multilingual voice interaction, helping users improve their emotional well‑being.

We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and optimize the systems powering myHoma’s real‑time AI‑driven experiences. You’ll work closely with the CTO and product team to develop backend services that support live conversational AI, audio streaming, transcription, and response generation.

• Build and maintain backend services for real‑time audio streaming, transcription, and AI orchestration
• Design scalable, secure backend architecture and APIs (REST / Web Socket)
• Develop and optimize microservices for low‑latency, high‑reliability interactions
• Collaborate with AI, product, and frontend teams to deliver seamless user experiences
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability to ensure system stability
• Write clean, well‑tested code and participate in code reviews

• Strong backend development experience with Python and modern frameworks
• Experience building real‑time systems using Web Sockets or similar streaming technologies
• Strong understanding of REST API design, microservices, and distributed architectures
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) and containerized deployments
• Knowledge of data storage patterns, message queues, and event‑driven architectures
• Interest in AI systems, real‑time interaction, or conversational technologies

• Experience with audio streaming, speech‑to‑text systems, or LLM integrations
• Experience contributing to systems for consumer‑facing apps with high engagement
• Familiarity with Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, or similar tools

As a Senior Backend Engineer you can expect a base of $140,000 to $180,000 as well as health, dental, vision, 401k and more.
