Position Summary
The Washington Nationals are seeking driven and open-minded S&C Coaches to support all aspects of the physical development program at our Minor League affiliates. The Seasonal S&C Coach will assist the affiliate S&C Coach and work closely with the Athletic Training Staff and Player Development departments to help implement the Nationals’ performance model on a daily basis.

Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with delivery of warm-ups, weight room sessions, conditioning, and recovery sessions
- Help manage daily scheduling, facility setup/breakdown, equipment organization
- Support data collection across performance areas (jump testing, workload, speed, strength, wellness, etc.)
- Execute GPS, jump testing, sprint profiling, and wellness monitoring as directed
- Assist with basic reporting and communication of training status to staff
- Help deliver individualized and team-based programs written by the Coordinator & Affiliate S&C Coach
- Work closely with the affiliate strength coach, medical staff, coordinators, and coaches
- Assist with interdisciplinary communication to ensure athlete needs are met
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or Related Field
- Certification through the NSCA (CSCS)
- CPR/AED/First Aid
- Vehicle and Laptop computer
Preferred:
- Experience using a variety of sport science devices such as 1080 Motion Devices, Vald Ecosystem, Gym Aware, etc.
- Willingness to learn and continue their education within and beyond the Strength and Conditioning field
Compensation
This is a seasonal hourly paid position without health benefits. The position is paid in accordance to DC Minimum Wage ($17.95/hour as of July 1, 2025), with the potential for overtime hours. The Nationals will provide meal money and a monthly housing allowance, in addition to covering travel to and from the home residence.
Applicants should expect to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
