Small Fish Big Fish Swim School invites applications for the Aquatic Educator Swim Instructor (WSI and/or Lifeguard) role.

• Organize and instruct individual students and small groups in swim lessons and aquatic safety.
• Include babies, preschoolers, and six levels of learn-to-swim courses.
• Lift and maneuver students to demonstrate proper technique.
• Follow Small Fish Big Fish methods and techniques for daily instruction.
• Act as a company spokesperson at community events, educating potential clients and community members on water safety and drowning prevention.

• Must be able to work a minimum of two days, Monday - Wednesday, from 2:30 pm - 8:30 pm and a minimum of one weekend day, Saturday or Sunday, from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.
• Water Safety Instructor certification.
• Lifeguard/CPR Certification.
• At least 1-3 years of experience with swim instruction, education, and/or aquatics.

• Touch as many lives as possible through our positive and fun in-water learning experiences.
• Develop and strengthen individual mental and physical health through swimming.
• Educate the community on the dangers of childhood drowning and provide continuing drowning prevention education.
• Instill a life‑long love of the sport of swimming.

• Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
• Ability to squat, bend, reach, and climb frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.

• Work conducted primarily in water/swimming pool setting.
• Water temperature may slightly fluctuate.
• May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces or surfaces covered with gymnastics equipment.
• Noise level is frequently loud.
