Small Fish Big Fish Swim School invites applications for the Aquatic Educator Swim Instructor (WSI and/or Lifeguard) role.
Job SummaryWant to make an impact every day? Then we want to meet you! Aquatic Educators at Small Fish Big Fish Swim School will be responsible for conducting swim lessons for multiple clients of different ages and skill levels. They may also perform ad hoc business-related duties.

- Swim Lessons for immediate family members.
- Organize and instruct individual students and small groups in swim lessons and aquatic safety.
- Include babies, preschoolers, and six levels of learn-to-swim courses.
- Lift and maneuver students to demonstrate proper technique.
- Follow Small Fish Big Fish methods and techniques for daily instruction.
- Act as a company spokesperson at community events, educating potential clients and community members on water safety and drowning prevention.
- Must be able to work a minimum of two days, Monday - Wednesday, from 2:30 pm - 8:30 pm and a minimum of one weekend day, Saturday or Sunday, from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.
- Water Safety Instructor certification.
- Lifeguard/CPR Certification.
- At least 1-3 years of experience with swim instruction, education, and/or aquatics.
- Touch as many lives as possible through our positive and fun in-water learning experiences.
- Develop and strengthen individual mental and physical health through swimming.
- Educate the community on the dangers of childhood drowning and provide continuing drowning prevention education.
- Instill a life‑long love of the sport of swimming.
- Always “WOW” our customers.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
- Ability to squat, bend, reach, and climb frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Work conducted primarily in water/swimming pool setting.
- Water temperature may slightly fluctuate.
- May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces or surfaces covered with gymnastics equipment.
- Noise level is frequently loud.
