Transportation Logistics, Transportation Manager
As a Management Trainee, you will participate in our Operations Management Trainee Program. This is an entry-level training position consisting of an intensive 16-week program designed to prepare you for your initial role in operations. Under the guidance of a mentor, your primary responsibilities include learning the basic principles of the transportation industry, efficient cross-dock operations, effective leadership communication, and relationship-building skills.
Upon completing the Trainee Program, relocation to another facility for your first leadership role in Operations will be required.
The program involves guided and independent study, interfacing with Support Center and Service Center associates, accompanying an Account Manager during customer sales calls, and observing drivers on local delivery routes to understand the freight delivery process.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics, or have at least two years of related work experience. An acceptable driving record is essential. The role requires flexibility and willingness to relocate as needed. Successful candidates will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening, maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, and have basic computer skills. A strong work ethic is vital to thrive in this dynamic environment.
The average annual starting pay ranges from $50,000 to $60,000.
