Missouri State University-West Plains accepts applications for Adjunct Faculty to establish a pool of available candidates. By submitting an application for this posting you are applying to be a part of Missouri State University’s Adjunct Faculty pool for a potential course that may be offered in the applicable semester. Missouri State University-West Plains is looking for adjunct faculty to teach in the area of Computer Science. Courses include Python, C++, data structures, computer architecture, and other related computing subjects.
- Teach assigned course(s).
- Grade students’ work in a timely manner.
- Be available to assist students with course‑related matters.
- Submit attendance and midterm/final grades by the required deadlines.
- Complete course assessments on time.
- Participate in required training.
Classes may be scheduled during the day or evening hours and may be seated, online, blended, or interactive video.
Adjunct faculty members are appointed on a semester basis only. The hours which adjunct faculty are allowed to teach each semester are determined by current regulations. Consult with the office of academic affairs to determine the number of hours allowed.
Minimum Acceptable QualificationsAdjunct Faculty should possess a master’s degree or the equivalent professional experience in a field determined acceptable by the Dean.
Additional QualificationsMasters degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field required.
