Loan Processor I

Role:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: processing, document drawing, funding, and closing real estate loans. Provides customer service in the absence of the Mortgage Loan Officer.

Knowledge &

Skills & Experience:

Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.

• Ability to read and understand loan documents.
• Understanding of basic lending terms; i.e. interest, principal, etc.
• Working closely with loan officers and underwriter to originate loan.

• Ability to ask questions.
• Attention to detail and follow through is a must.
