Travel RN - Leadership - Nurse Manager

American Traveler is hiring a Risk Manager RN for a 13-week day-shift assignment requiring 2+ years of healthcare risk management experience and prior travel experience.

• Active RN license (MO state or compact) required
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare risk management, patient safety, claims, or related quality/legal roles
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Working knowledge of Just Culture, peer review privilege, EMTALA, HIPAA, PSO, and fundamentals of medical malpractice preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver s license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Risk Manager unit within a community hospital setting
• 13-week contract with day shift schedule (5x8, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM)
• May float to other departments as Helping Hands or take a patient assignment within scope and competency
• Meditech charting system experience preferred
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius with no exceptions
• Local candidates within the radius are not accepted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• RTO requests should be kept to a minimum, with no calendar week off preferred during the assignment; any RTO must be approved before the start date
• Some holiday coverage expected
