Adventist Health Care seeks to hire an experienced Chaplain Manager who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the delivery of spiritual care services to patients, families, staff and volunteers within entity/campus; strengthen collaborative relationship with clinical interdisciplinary teams.
- Develop a culture of mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members; lead problem solving and conflict resolution initiatives; oversee individual performance goals and objectives; ensure chaplaincy practice alignment with professional clinical chaplaincy standards and competencies.
- Monitor cost controls regarding time, material, and personnel resources.
- Implement the standard management approach to manage measures and process improvement initiatives; support department objectives and the strategies to achieve them.
- Maintain collaborative relationship with entity leadership for shared objectives and initiatives; serve on entity leadership team, attending meetings and serving on committees as appropriate.
- Oversee religious services and celebrations for all faith traditions.
- Build relationships and partnerships with local clergy and religious institutions.
- Master of Divinity (MDiV). May consider MA/MS in Theology or Religion with minimum of 78 hours theological credits.
- Ordained/Commissioned ministerial credentials preferred.
- Completion of 4 Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Units from an accredited clinical pastoral education center.
- Denominational Chaplaincy endorsement (or must be actively fulfilling endorsement requirements).
- Board certification by the Association for Professional Chaplains in process. Must complete certification within 2 years of hire.
- Minimum of 5 years in pastoral ministry or ministry in a healthcare setting, with demonstrated effectiveness. A combination of experience and education may be considered.
Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Coverage can vary. On call for escalation.
Pay Range$63,510.88 - $92,090.78
