Senior Buyer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support procurement and strategic sourcing for a growing aerospace and defense manufacturing operation. This role will manage suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, drive cost-reduction initiatives, and ensure materials and components are available to support production requirements.

Location:West Point, MS
Salary: $80,000–$90,000
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support procurement and strategic sourcing for a growing aerospace and defense manufacturing operation. This role will manage suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, drive cost-reduction initiatives, and ensure materials and components are available to support production requirements.

• Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers

• Manage RFQs, purchase orders, pricing, and supplier follow-up

• Negotiate contracts, pricing, lead times, and commercial terms

• Identify and execute cost-reduction opportunities

• Monitor supplier quality, delivery, and overall performance

• Support inventory and production requirements

• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Logistics

• Maintain compliance with aerospace/defense procurement requirements

• Mentor and support junior purchasing team members

• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or strategic sourcing experience

• Manufacturing procurement experience required

• Aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred

• Strong supplier negotiation and cost-reduction experience

• Experience purchasing materials, components, subassemblies, and/or engineered parts

• Strong understanding of supplier performance, lead times, and supply-chain risk

• Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills

Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 annually, based on experience.
