Maintenance Technician

Principle

Duties & Responsibilities

* Perform routine, repetitive daily inspection of the building exterior. Notify management of problems/concerns. Perform general grounds-keeping daily.

* Maintain outside of plaza area, through the painting of light pole bases, curbs, and railings, sweeping, washing windows, and general cleanup and maintenance. Trim/depose of tree branches, clear rubbish. Keep disposal areas clean and in a safe condition. Report potholes, pavement problems, cracks, crumbling curbs, heaved cement to management so repairs can be made.

* On call schedule for the weekend is every 4 weeks. A 40-hour work week with additional overtime opportunity M-F 8 AM
-5 PM. Must be able to respond to center emergencies on an on-call basis including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

* 2 years preferred of satisfactory work experience, preferably in a maintenance-related field.

* Ability to work flexible hours and perform duties in an orderly fashion under general supervision.

* Proficient in using key technologies, including iPhone/iPad for mobile productivity, Microsoft Outlook for email management, and various platforms for photo sharing, camera usage and basic internet navigation.

* Valid New York State driver's license is required.

* Ability to navigate a work order system and upload photos as needed.

Physical Requirements

* Ability to lift 75 pounds, operate necessary equipment, climb ladders to heights up to 25 feet.

* Extended periods of standing, walking, and sitting while driving to locations.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly
