Position: Life Skills Support Professional 1 – Full Time
Location: West Springfield, MA
Rate of Pay: $22.00 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
Sign‑on bonus: $500 ($250 at the completion of first week of training and $250 after successful completion of first 90 days)
Summary- Work directly with and alongside adults with disabilities and developmental delays on social and communication skills, activities of daily living, and building esteem.
- Organize, coordinate, implement, and structure activity units to provide such opportunities for program members.
- Assist with personal care and participation in community activities.
- Provide support and training to members in accordance with ISP goals and objectives.
- Individuals with direct care, residential care, human services, day program, and DDS experience strongly encouraged to apply.
- High School/Hi‑SET required with at least one year of human service experience, or associate's degree in related field and 0–1 year of experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills with a minimum knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Must have a valid MA driver’s license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, vehicle use, and willingness to transport participants in personal and/or agency vehicle.
- Must be able to lift and transfer members up to 150 pounds.
- Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices and community organizations.
