The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking dependable Direct Care Staff to work in a supportive residential environment for developmentally disabled adults living in a community-based group home. Candidates must be flexible to work 2nd shift (3 pm–11 pm) that includes weekends. Active MAP certification qualifies for a $250 bonus upon joining.
Responsibilities- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Administer medications as needed (training will be provided).
- Advocate for individuals in community settings.
- Build professional, supportive relationships with individuals, offering informal guidance with a person-centered approach while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Provide opportunities to optimize their independence.
- Ability to complete medication administration training (MAP certification).
- Previous experience working with individuals with dementia or behavioral complexities is highly encouraged.
- All candidates must complete and pass a background record screening process.
- Must have a vehicle for work use and a current driver’s license.
- First Aid, CPR and MAP certification is preferred.
- Flexible to work a 2nd shift schedule, 3 pm–11 pm, including weekends.

- Demonstrated commitment to serving those with significant needs.
- Ability to work well within a team model and independently.
- Good written and verbal skills, compassion to meet the needs of the individuals served.
Pay rate is $20.00 /hr. Benefits include dental, health, and life insurance; paid time off, earned vacation time and paid holidays.
