• Assemble and align complex optical and electro-optical components used in high-power fiber laser systems
• Perform advanced fiber splicing, cleaving, connectorization, and termination using specialized tools and fusion splicers
• Collaborate with engineering on prototype builds, process development, and design-for-manufacturability improvements
• Conduct optical alignment, testing, and verification using power meters, spectrum analyzers, and interferometers
• Identify, document, and resolve production and quality issues in collaboration with the Quality and Engineering teams
• Maintain accurate production documentation, inspection data, and test reports
• Ensure compliance with all company safety, ESD, and laser safety standards; support continuous improvement initiatives related to yield, throughput, and process consistency

• Expert-level skills in fiber handling, splicing, polishing, and alignment
• Strong understanding of optical principles, laser safety, and assembly processes
• Ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings and schematics
• Experience with microscopes, alignment lasers, power meters, and related diagnostic tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Proficient in basic computer applications and manufacturing documentation systems

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certificate in optics, electronics, or related field preferred
• 2–4 years of experience in fiber laser component or precision optical assembly
• Knowledge of ISO quality systems advantageous

• Work performed in a cleanroom or laboratory environment
• Requires use of microscopes, precision tools, and optical alignment equipment
• Occasional lifting of items up to 25 lbs
• Must follow all company safety, ESD, and laser operation protocols
