NDT Operator W. Springfield- 2nd Shift

The successful candidate will have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardize penetrant black lights, process a known defect standard and accept/reject the results, take measurements of pressure and water gauges, evaluate the in-use penetrant, and evaluate the in-use developer.

• Apply penetrant to aerospace parts in a manner that is acceptable to aerospace specifications.
• Understand required dwell times for penetrant and control the materials in accordance with specifications.
• Control developer dwell times and understand the specifics of the evaluation process required by all aerospace OEM specifications.
• Determine if an aerospace part is acceptable or rejectable when evaluating in accordance with an aerospace OEM specifications.
• Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of Penetrant inspection using a Type I, Method A, form d system.
• Have a basic knowledge of the other departments within an aerospace processing facility.

• COMPENSATION RANGE: $20.00 to $28.00 Per hour plus shift differential.

• Education: High School preferred.
• Experience:
  • Currently or recently certified in NDT FPI disciplines.
  • Previous participation in departmental audits.
  • Excellent people skills, hands-on worker.
  • Previous plating experience a plus.
  • Experience in a NADCAP & ISO 9000 environment desired.
  • Chemical processing (Etching, Nital Etch) experience a plus.
