Plasma Center Nurse – LPN ($3,000 Sign‑on Bonus)

Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is seeking a licensed practical nurse to serve as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at our West Springfield, MA site.

As a Plasma Center Nurse, you will work under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician to support plasma collection operations and ensure donor safety and quality.

• Determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent and conduct medical history interviews.
• Perform physical examinations, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE) results.
• Monitor donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including transport to emergency care facilities.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues and provide guidance on donor safety and eligibility.
• Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) for incident evaluation.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a recognized nursing program with state licensing requirements.
• Licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• State‑required basic IV therapy training.
• Successfully complete the FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialists.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Hourly wage range: $26.15 – $35.96 (West Springfield, MA). U.S. employees earn up to 80 hours of sick time annually; new hires accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
