Maintenance Electrician

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and electrical systems to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems, identifying root causes and implementing appropriate solutions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on various equipment, including plating machines, pumps, motors, and control systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, schedules, and checklists to proactively address potential equipment failures and ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of spare parts and equipment components necessary for maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and other departments to plan and execute maintenance projects and ensure seamless integration with production schedules.
• Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out safely.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repairs carried out by the team.
• Recommend and implement process improvements and equipment upgrades to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Stay updated with advancements in electrical systems, maintenance practices, and industry standards relevant to plating factory operations.
• Participating in projects related to electrical systems upgrades, expansions, or new installations.
• Ensuring all electrical work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and procedures, including those related to OSHA and NFPA.

Qualifications:

• An associate's degree or technical certification in electrical or instrumentation technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an electrician, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in leadership or supervisory role, with the ability to manage a team and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industrial controls, and maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues and conducting repairs on various equipment and machinery.
• Familiarity with plating factory equipment and processes is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate with a diverse maintenance team.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions while adhering to established maintenance protocols.
• Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule and respond to urgent maintenance needs as required.
• Commitment to safety and the ability to promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
• Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights, and lift and move equipment.
