The Life Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting engagement programming seven days per week across all daily engagement blocks defined by the community's structure. This role ensures activities occur consistently, even when not personally present, by assigning responsibilities, providing supplies and instructions, and guiding staff in activity delivery. The Life Enrichment Coordinator prepares required calendars, tracks participation, supports marketing efforts, and upholds the values of Home, Care, and Comfort.
PERFORMANCEOBJECTIVES Programming Planning and Scheduling
- Completes and publishes the weekly or monthly activity calendar by 100% of required deadlines (Wednesday of the preceding week or the 20th of the preceding month).
- Schedule engagement programming for 100% of daily engagement blocks, seven days per week.
- Includes physical, cognitive, social, sensory, and purposeful programming categories in 100% of weekly calendars.
- Schedules a minimum of one internal event monthly or as defined by community goals, meeting 100% of those targets.
- Provides written instructions and required supplies for 100% of activities being led by staff or volunteers.
- Confirms that scheduled activities occur during 100% of engagement blocks weekly, either personally or through delegated staff.
- Assigns activity leadership to staff for 100% of activities the manager is not leading and documents assignments.
- Verifies required supplies are available for 100% of scheduled activities before the start of each block.
- Conducts activity setup for 100% of activities personally assigned to the manager.
- Ensures actual delivered programming aligns with the posted calendar with at least 90% monthly accuracy.
- Tracks attendance for 100% of scheduled activities.
- Reviews participation data weekly and identifies 100% of residents who participated below the community-defined threshold.
- Implements an individualized engagement action for 100% of low-participation residents within five business days of identification.
- Meets or exceeds the community's monthly participation rate target.
- Provides guidance or instruction on activity delivery and engagement techniques to staff at least once per month.
- Confirms staff assigned to lead activities receive instructions and supplies 100% of the time.
- Reviews staff-led activity performance monthly and provide feedback for improvement when needed, completing 100% of identified follow-ups.
- Communicates calendar changes or updates to staff within one business day 100% of the time.
- Communicates resident engagement concerns to care staff within one business day for 100% of identified cases.
- Provides the Executive Director with a programming summary or participation update at least monthly.
- Supports tours or marketing events requiring activity representation 100% of the time when requested by leadership.
- Captures photos of at least five different activities per week, following privacy guidelines.
- Submits activity highlights, event details, or programming updates for marketing use at least weekly
- Assists in planning internal events at the frequency defined by community goals and completes 100% of assigned responsibilities.
- Coordinates volunteer or family involvement for activities when applicable and documents involvement 100% of the time.
- Tracks activity expenses weekly and maintains activity spending within 100% of approved budget guidelines.
- Submit purchase requests accurately and on time 100% of the time.
- Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment and notifies leadership before shortages occur 100% of the time.
- Submits participation records, calendar files, and required reports 100% on time.
- Maintains accurate documentation of activity assignments, supply needs, and participation data 100% of the time.
- Experience in activity planning, recreation, engagement programming, or related field.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation or provide after-hours support as required.
- Strong communication, organization, planning, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
