Experienced Construction Materials Technicians

Overview

CMT, a Utah based materials engineering company, is seeking an Experienced Construction Materials Technician for a position located in West Valley UT.

We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine testing of construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. This position will perform and document routine field tests for the purpose of verifying conformance to construction plans and specifications. Prepares daily reports and datasheets. May be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.

• Perform routine field testing of construction materials to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications.
• Prepare and document routine field test results, reports, and datasheets.
• May be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.

• ACI Field 1
• SRDTT
• WAQTC In-Place Density
• At least 2 years of field experience

• Ability to pass a drug test required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of related work experience
• Proficient in materials testing
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work effectively in a group setting
• Ability to take tests and obtain certifications
• Familiar and comfortable with Microsoft Office
• Must have Clean MVR
