Pharmacist - PRN; Coverage

Pharmacist - PRN (Saturday Coverage) – Guardian Pharmacy, West Valley City, Utah. Pay: $60–$64 per hour.

Schedule:

Every Saturday: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. On‑Call Rotation:
Required, includes daily stipend. Additional flexibility: cover vacation and sick time as needed.

• Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing to patient.
• Review completed orders and cycle‑fill medications to ensure accuracy.
• Verify legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of dispensing based on allergies, incompatibilities, refills, etc.
• Interpret prescription orders, exercising professional judgment to ensure patient safety and legal compliance.
• Adhere to all Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Adhere to all applicable guidelines for compounding.
• Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed.
• Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, etc.
• Evaluate inventory levels and reorder when below par.
• On exception items, select most cost‑effective product.
• Notify customer/facility if product is out of stock and when it can be filled.
• Restock station supplies as needed.
• Oversee work of all technicians and give feedback to supervisor regarding performance.
• Log all error medication occurrences.
• Other essential functions and duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree (Pharmacy) or Pharm
  
  D – required.
• State Pharmacist License – required, unrestricted.

• 1+ years of related experience.
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Problem solving with minimal direction.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to excel in fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment working on multiple tasks.
• Quality minded; motivated to identify errors and investigate inaccuracies.
• Medical consulting experience preferred.

• Ability to work flexible hours.
