Position SummarySupports manufacturing by identifying and solving technical challenges found in production processes and equipment. Assists in setting up production equipment through the I.Q., O.Q. & P.Q. processes. Completes required documentation for equipment installation & maintenance. Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment. Assists Engineering in necessary document creation and change through the Engineering Change Order process. This position will work under general direction and have latitude in determining how to solve problems.
Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00am
Primary Responsibilities- Provides daily support to manufacturing.
- Assist engineers with component and tooling implementation for production, including but not limited to equipment validation, component drawings and device bill of material.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment of intermediate/advanced complexity.
- Respond to intermediate equipment failures by troubleshooting and resolving the issue.
- Interface with the production personnel to actively troubleshoot production problems as well as continually improve the process.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Assist with the development of specifications, procurement, build, documentation, validation and personnel training on automated manufacturing equipment.
- Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws and standards
- Implement lean systems and improvements.
- Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
Skills and Abilities
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Must have experience troubleshooting equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and efficient management of time and resources
- Required – at least 1 year of technician experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to contribute and work successfully in a cross functional team environment
Skills and Abilities
- Prior work experience in a medical device manufacturing environment
- Experience using CAD software, specifically Solid Works is a plus
