We're seeking Journeyman Electricians for our new partner located in Salt Lake City, UT. They are a leader specializing in high-efficiency, commercial energy storage solutions. Compensation: $35 – $45/hour (commensurate with experience and the level of technical and coordination responsibilities).
Responsibilities- Install solar panels and switch gear to complete PV solar systems up to NEC and local code standards in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform service maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Provide a high level of customer service and communicate timely updates to customers.
- Complete necessary documentation to report and update job status or any customer issues.
- Prioritize and practice all safety standards for you and your crew.
- Maintain a clean job site, fleet vehicle, and stock parts and tools.
- Be reliable and on time to the job.
This position is based in Utah. The nature of the role requires the electrician to work at customer locations. Occasional work and training will be required at the South Salt Lake warehouse and/or Springville – R&D warehouse may also be required.
Working Hours7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Skills and Qualifications- Must have an active DOPL Journeyman Electrician license or higher.
- Experience performing residential and commercial electrical work while providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to read, interpret, and execute blueprints, specifications, and electrical riser diagrams.
- Knowledge of NEC standards.
- Top‑notch organizational skills and close attention to detail.
- Previous solar and energy experience.
- NABCEP Certification (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) preferred.
- Experience with web and mobile software applications (if applicable).
- Ability to use ladders at varying heights, specialized equipment (scissor lifts, mobile lifts, etc.), and lift heavy items up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to safely lift and move objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Mathematical knowledge, physical dexterity, and ability to use hand and power tools.
- Willingness and ability to ascend ladders/stairs, work at varying heights, and on rooftops.
- Ability to work in inclement weather at varying times and places.
- Capacity to stand, bend, and execute repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
- Ability to communicate information clearly so others can understand.
- Must report to work with the ability to use full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute your job.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English required.
- Trade education.
- 1–4 years of relevant experience.
