Swing Shift Diesel Mechanic - DOE

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Technician to join our award‑winning, locally owned company. ACE is also willing to train the right candidates for this job.

• West Valley City location
• Swing Shift
• Starting wage $30.00–$45.00 per hour depending on experience
• Signing bonus $1,000–$3,000 (DOE)
• Monday through Friday 1:30 pm–10:30 pm with overtime; some Saturdays required
• Annual tool reimbursement — up to $3,000 twice a year
• Advanced tools and technology; in‑house and OEM certified training

• Maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.
• Make adjustments and alignments; keep records.
• Work in adverse conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, snow) to repair equipment and vehicles.
• Work any shift, including weekends, graveyards, or swing shifts, along with overtime.

• Knowledge of OEM manufacturers and proper repair practices:
  Cummins, Paccar, Allison, Mack, Detroit, Caterpillar, Freightliner, Peterbilt, Autocar, Bendix, WABCO.
• Body‑manufacturing knowledge is a plus:
  McNeilus, Heil, Labrie, Galbreath, Marathon, Wittke, American Hoist, Wanye.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems: lights, relays, PLC, proximity switches, ABS systems, electronic transmissions, engines, chassis components.
• Experience with hydraulic systems: pumps, valve bodies, air and electric slave cylinders, high‑pressure oil lines and fittings.
• Experience with pneumatics: air dryers, governors, compressors, relay valves, lines and fittings.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
• Full set of industry‑standard tools.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
