About Quality Custom Distribution (QCD)Established in 2006, QCD is a custom last‑mile distribution company specializing in tailored solutions for food service industry customers. It operates 25 distribution centers and delivers more than 37,000 orders a week.
Responsibilities- Under the direction of a supervisor, provides direction and leadership to warehouse personnel regarding efficient and effective selection, storage, and loading of products and/or materials per company standards/procedures.
- Safely operates all material handling equipment and accurately completes all associated paperwork.
- Maintains a clean work area consistent with company standards.
- Trains warehouse personnel in the above areas as necessary.
- Assures that all QIP and sanitation policies and procedures are followed.
- Performs all duties of warehouse functions.
- Train associates on operations in 3 temperature zones, receiving, loading/unloading, FIFO, expiration date requirements and expectations, reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, scrubbers, scissor lifts, put‑aways and inventory management.
- Lead pre‑shift meetings for the team.
- Assist the management of production for the team daily.
- Utilize email to communicate and understand the JDA system to support any facet of the operation.
- Manage inventory of building.
- Maintain expected sanitation levels in all assigned work area, including material handling equipment, trailers and building sanitation.
- Under the direction of a supervisor, assist in assigning, monitoring and coordinating required labor expectations versus planned labor needs due to case volume.
- Under the supervision of a supervisor, direct and assist employees in work areas.

- Must audit all processes of warehouse functions such as selection, receiving, loading/unloading, put‑aways, sanitation, and correct deficiencies on the spot.
- Embrace the customer journey (drivers are the customer).
- Coach & retrain violations to the team and hold the standard of the company.
- Must be the first one in the building for the shift and the last one leaving for the shift.
- Assist and support supervisor on developing and implementing projects or any other task as assigned by supervisor.
- Managing trucks to ensure drivers are being unloaded within their allotted appointment times.
- Must be willing to complete any task needed.
- Accurately pick, lift, and place products to build pallets per customer orders.
- Operate forklifts/pallet jacks safely in high‑traffic warehouse areas.
- Visually inspect and verify all incoming/outgoing product.
- Maintain safety, productivity, and cleanliness standards at all times, read labels, count product, and complete order paperwork.
- Must have demonstrated leadership skills and the proven ability to effectively communicate to others.
- Must promote a positive and supportive work environment through team‑oriented concepts, actively demonstrating this behavior.
- Attend all required meetings as well as all training (safety, compliance, technical or company directed meetings). Will participate and assist in Quarterly Inventories as requested by supervisor.
- Valid forklift certification and 6+ months of safe equipment operation.
- Strong reading/math skills for labeling, counting, and documentation.
- Use a voice‑directed picking system (Vo Collect headset) to accurately select and prepare customer orders.
- Shifts typically starting at: 6 AM – can run 10‑12 hours.
- Sunday – Tuesday, Wednesday 6 AM – 10:30 AM.
- Full‑time, on‑site in a temperature‑controlled warehouse (dry, cooler freezer: –5°F to 38°F).
- Primarily a 4‑day work week.
- Physically active role with repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing/walking for extended periods.
- $22.93 per hour.
