Shipping Clerk - Night Shift at Silencer Co

West Valley City, UT

Shift: Night Shift (4:00 PM - 12:30 AM, Monday-Friday)
Position DescriptionThe Shipping Clerk works as a member of the Shipping Team to ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on schedule in a fast‑paced warehouse environment. This role supports daily shipping goals, maintains compliance and safety standards, and contributes to continuous improvement of shipping processes.
Key Responsibilities- Ship customer orders on schedule while meeting daily, weekly, and monthly shipping targets.
- Process shipments and perform accurate data entry in the ERP system (Odoo).
- Verify shipment accuracy, documentation, and labels prior to carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shipping work area.
- Participate in regular inventory audits.
- Proactively identify errors or process issues and recommend solutions.
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve shipping issues and meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance standards are met when handling regulated products.
- Follow all safety procedures, including OSHA standards, injury reporting, and workers' compensation guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Prior shipping or warehouse experience required.
- Basic computer skills with experience operating an ERP system.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective decision‑making, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Basic math skills.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and adherence to scheduled breaks.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring a full range of motion.
