Work Schedule:
Saturday 4:30pm-7:30pm;
Sunday 8:15am-12:30pm
The goal of the Second Kids Ministry is to create a positive and friendly environment to introduce children and their families to Jesus and God’s Word in a child-friendly and age-appropriate way. Our preschool coordinators help lay a solid spiritual foundation and plant seeds for spiritual growth in our preschool ministry area. This foundation is built through classroom activities and building relationships with parents.
The following describes the duties required for a Preschool Coordinator. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Overview of Responsibilities
- Help each child:
- Feel comfortable, special, and loved.
- Feel secure with caring adults other than parents.
- Learn to play and share with other children.
- Develop positive feelings about coming to church.
- Provide a safe and happy Christian environment for all children.
- Encourage active participation of parents in G.i.G.L., Bible study, and their child’s room.
- Make a great first impression and show care for visitors’ children, opening opportunities for ministry.
Weekly Responsibilities

- Arrive on time for scheduled assignments.
- Complete necessary trainings/certifications (CPR, Epi Pen, Life Vac, Ministry Safe).
- Wear proper attire when scheduled.
- Ensure a secure preschool area by following check-in and check-out procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness by following procedures.
- Follow safety policies during incidents.
Qualifications
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- Desire to minister to children and families.
