Overview
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Anesthesiology seeks a General Anesthesiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.
Responsibilities- Practice in the areas of General Anesthesiology.
- Provide excellent patient care.
- Actively participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent; eligible for state medical license.
- Completed an Anesthesiology residency program.
- Fellowship programs highly regarded.
- Board certified or eligible within 3 years. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
WVU Anesthesiology has the largest anesthesia practice in the state and is the only anesthesiology residency-training program. The department has more than 150 credentialed clinicians. Major divisions include cardiovascular, pediatric, neuro, ambulatory anesthesia and pain medicine.
