Overview

West Virginia University (WVU) School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine, Section of Rheumatology seek an Academic Rheumatologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV, with potential assignments at additional worksites in West Virginia and Pennsylvania based on operational needs. Travel may be required.

• Practice the full range of outpatient and inpatient Rheumatology services.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in an ACGME-accredited program.
• Engage in quality improvement and/or research as eligible. The Division supports career development and may sponsor grant activities.
• Possibility to serve rural areas, including in-person or telemedicine based on needs and candidate requirements.

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent; eligible to obtain a state medical license.
• Completed an accredited internal medicine residency program and a rheumatology fellowship.
• Board eligible or board certified in rheumatology; all qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
