A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located in St. Marys, West Virginia.

This Level 2 trauma center staffs four MDs and eighteen CRNAs daily, operating under a medical direction model of 1:3 or 1:4, with CRNAs enjoying a high degree of autonomy and an excellent working relationship with the MDs. Case mix includes regional, trauma, and general bread and butter procedures, covering nearly everything except transplants, OB, and pediatrics. Call is pager-based for both MDs and CRNAs, with two layers of pager coverage;

while there is no post-call day off, call backs are infrequent and its rare to be called in once youre home for the night. Shift options include 8-, 10-, and 12-hour schedules, and the facility uses Cerner EMR.
