Job Description
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medical Oncology seek a Head and Neck Oncologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.
DutiesThe successful candidate will practice in the areas of Head and Neck Oncology
. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidates must have completed an Internal Medicine residency program, as well as a Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Informationon the Department/Practice
The WVU Cancer Institute at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center in Morgantown is expanding its malignant hematology and transplant/cellular therapy services as part of a statewide strategy to enhance access to advanced cancer care. This position offers the opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team focused on the diagnosis and treatment of leukemias, lymphomas, myeloma, and related disorders, with access to autologous and allogeneic transplant, CAR-T therapy, and clinical trials.
The successful candidate will have the ability to shape program growth and contribute to academic, clinical, and translational initiatives in a nationally recognized cancer center.
