Instructional Systems Designer IV – Chenega Professional Services Strategic Business Unit

Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, a Chenega Professional Services company, is looking for an Instructional Systems Designer to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection. This is a full‑time position on a 1‑year contract onsite in Harpers Ferry, WV. Certified training will be received and provided at Tradecraft HUMINT schools.

- Follow and have a working knowledge of instructional systems design principles and the Analysis-Design-Develop-Implement-Evaluate (ADDIE) or similar models for course development to build new training programs.
- Support multiple courses.
- Maintain curriculum to ensure courses are up to date and student centric.
- Analyze course content to identify the impact of curriculum decisions.
- Lead the design and development of instructional strategies/techniques that are reflective of current directives, doctrine, conditions, and procedures to meet the needs of the agency.
- Conduct quality assurance assessments of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases of the Instructional Systems Design process to ensure that CBP courses are using a standardized approach and best practices; maintain records/documents that clearly explain the decision process; ensure training is effective, efficient, and legally defensible.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must hold an active Top-Secret clearance.
- Experience working in large and small teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years’ experience preferred.
- 8+ years’ experience required.
- Experience with Articulate, Captivate, and other online module software.
Skills and Abilities
- Professional written and verbal communication skills, as well as sound interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience in the tradecraft and/or subject matter expertise relevant to the training program and instructional design and curriculum implementation.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
