Position Overview
Position reports to:
Senior Engineering Manager.
Contributing to Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.
Your Role And Responsibilities- Act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity.
- Complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost‑effective manner.
- Showcase expertise by applying basic design thinking / design for excellence concepts in projects.
- Evaluate, select and apply standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
- Assist in preparing proposals and presentations of service engineering projects/programs.
- Identify customer requirements, analyze and document as‑is processes and process interfaces, and design to‑be integration in collaboration with business resources.
- Create work plans and cost estimates in own area of responsibility, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost.
- Complete risk and opportunity assessments and ensure implementation of resulting actions.
- Provide technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities.
The Role
- Full‑time B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Communications.
- Minimum 4–6 years of hands‑on Process / Safety System Experience predominantly in Application Engineering, HMI engineering, FAT and SAT.
- Good knowledge of Process / ICSS and Safety Systems (Fire & Gas Protection Systems / Emergency Shutdown Systems). Knowledge of IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 standards.
- Knowledge of Brownfield scope of work for DCS – migrations, modifications, retrofits, upgrades.
- Knowledge of third‑party communications such as MODBUS, OPC, etc.
- Experience with any ABB systems such as 800xA, MOD
300, AC800M is an added advantage. Experience in DCS controller migration is an added advantage.
