Academic Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Education & Certifications
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) preferred.
    • Equivalent experience (5+ years in a related engineering role) considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Advanced PLC and HMI programming, troubleshooting & maintenance (Omron, Allen‑Bradley, Mitsubishi).
    • Industrial automation techniques and electrical systems knowledge (wiring schematics, ladder logic).
    • Experience with sensors, vision systems, and industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus).
    • Basic AutoCAD or similar 3D modeling software and 3D printing of plastic materials.
    • Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and application.
    • Project management capability.
  • General Skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite for reporting and analysis.
    • Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, time management, and effective communication.
    • Organized, diplomatic, adaptable in a dynamic environment.
    • Leadership in training sessions for staff and engineering personnel.
    • Clear reporting, root cause analysis, and quality/production process monitoring.
Physical Requirements
  • Clear vision and hearing (correctable).
  • Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, 75 lbs with assistance.
  • Endure prolonged sitting/standing, repetitive motion, indoor/outdoor work.
  • Wear required safety footwear.
  • Flexible hours & on‑call availability.
Essential Duties
  • PLC Programming & Troubleshooting
    • Develop, test, debug PLC & HMI logic.
    • Diagnose & resolve PLC‑controlled machinery issues.
    • Integrate new technologies (sensors, vision systems) into equipment.
  • Maintenance & Support
    • Provide advanced maintenance assistance to production lines.
    • Offer engineering advice on equipment specifications.
    • Support preventive & predictive maintenance, document repairs.
  • Project Management & Process Improvement
    • Lead cross‑functional automation projects and continuous improvement (Kaizens).
    • Execute projects to enhance equipment efficiency, oversee scopes and timelines.
    • Analyze KPI data, recommend improvements, report cost savings and efficiency gains.
  • Training & Collaboration
    • Train production & maintenance staff on PLC systems.
    • Support training for engineers on 3D printers & AutoCAD.
    • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to resolve automation issues.
  • AutoCAD & 3D Printing
    • Design wiring schematics and parts drawings.
    • Assemble and disassemble prototypes for testing.
    • Operate 3D printers to produce spare parts or prototypes.
    • Maintain organized 3D printer room using 5S standards.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
    • Use SPC software for administrative requests.
    • Compile and analyze SPC data for production, maintenance, and quality teams.
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Adhere to company policies and industry standards (IATF, ISO, TISAX, ISMS, Safety).
    • Follow quality, environmental, and regulatory procedures.
Other Duties
  • Perform 5S maintenance.
  • Report abnormalities promptly.
  • Execute additional duties assigned by management.
  • Overtime and shift changes may be required.
